    Premiere 6.5 freezing..not good.

    The other day when i started premiere a prompt came up that i didnt have a chance to read. I clicked the mouse by accident on an option that said "debug"? i also saw a box that said "ignore". Anyway, after i started premiere i went to trim a clip and the program froze. This now happens everytime i use premiere and it is virtually USELESS now. If anyone has any idea how to fix this i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

    This sounds like the "Assert Failure" problem. I believe this was a problem with cracked versions - if that's you then this could be the time to go legit.

    Anyway, this might be a long-shot but give it a try...

    - Close Premiere
    - Look for a file called Prem60.ini, probably in Program Files\Adobe\Premiere 6.5
    - Open the file in a text editor and add the following lines to the end of the file:

    [Override]
    PreferDSCodecs=1

    - Save and close the file. Cross your fingers then open Premiere.
