    It is my understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong, that you can't get good video on a computer using your USB Port. You need to find a way to get it onto your computer using a firewire. You wouldn't have any problems with your video if you did that. Premiere Pro doesn't support your camera because of that reason. PP won't work with video captured from a USB port. You need to find a way to get it onto your computer with a firewire. It's realatively easy to do that. You can just hook up a DV camcorder to your other camera and transfer the tape, or you can play your video through your tv, and capture the image off of the tv, or vcr onto your dv camcorder. I hope that helps, and please let me know if that helps.

    P.S. Does your camcorder support firewire, aka, does it have a firewire port on it? If so, you can just get the images off of that onto a computer that supports firewire, and just save the files, and put them on a cd-r or somthing and then move then to your laptop. Lots of ways you can do it!!!

    I had no idea the loss of quality had to do with the capturing process. I really appreciate the advice & time. Thanks man.
