That's right - it sounds like you've got everything you need.

Unfortunately I don't use Windows servers* so I'm afraid I can't give you any more specific instructions.

You could try the Helix forum at https://helixcommunity.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=153

    Re: True Streaming

We're on Linux. We spent a lot of time evaluating different server OSs and we decided that Linux is better than Windows. Having said that, you'd need to understand that it will take a while to learn Linux before you go live. It's quite different to Windows.

Anyway, you can find instructions for both OSs here:
    http://www.realnetworks.com/resource...r/install.html

I should also clarify that we've gone with Flash as a delivery platform. As these platforms all change so quickly we've got somewhat out of touch with Helix so I'm not the best person to ask about it any more.

Can you explain a little bit of how my web cam will show on my web site?

    Re: True Streaming

    Thanks for the nice comment.

I'm not sure if you're asking how the webcam will look on your site, or how it will technically get there.

For technical details you'll need to read the Helix manual.

As for how it will look, I think you'll have pretty good control over that yourself. I'm not up to speed on the latest developments but Helix is a good server with plenty of options. I think it will look pretty much however you want it to look.

My advice is to be patient and spend a lot of time reading the manual. The most common cause of problems with this sort of thing is people charging in and wanting it all to happen immediately. Sadly it doesn't work like that - this is a complex business and it takes a lot of time to learn the ins and outs.
