    Hey James,

I found this opinion on the net..

    http://www.wirelessmic.net/wireless_rechargeable.htm

I know there are a bunch of different types of rechargeables and some aren't affected as much by the whole memory thing.. but I'm not much of an expert on batteries..

All I know is that wireless mics are scary things without a reliable power source.

Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries aren't really affected by the memory effect at all. Matt, the article you quoted seems somewhat dated to me - it assumes that all batteries are subject to the memory effect which is really not true.

Another consideration is that rechargables tend to have a slightly lower voltage than others, e.g. 1.2V vs 1.5V for AA batteries. This isn't normally a concern but it can have an impact on some devices.
