    Y cable xlr to 1/4 ?

    Hi there,
First congrats on this forum, well not only the forum but the complete site is great.
I'm new here, I found it searching for an answer to this question...

I need to configure some audio cables, as described on the title it needs to be Y 1 male 1/4 plug to 2 xlr male and/or female .
My question is: Is the diagram showed here http://www.mediacollege.com/audio/co...xlr-rca-2.html
(is basically the same config except with rca plugs), the same connection I need? Black (1) goes to sleeve and (2 and 3) split as left and right on each tip?

    Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Media College axis -
If your 1/4" plug is (mono) tip and sleeve then yes, you can wire the same way as the diagram.

    Thanks SC358

Well, now that you mention it, I believe that for a stereo connection its supposed to be a TRS 1/4 connector, right?

Please review the attach diagram, is this way right for my needs?
Or should a jumper may be needed eg XLR1 jumper from 2 to1 and XLR 2 Jumper from 3 to 1?

    Any idea.

Your diagram is correct - solder away!
