Batch capture in premeire pro problems

I've gone thru and set the in and out points for the sections/clips of videotape that i want to batch capture but when i goto batch capture i get a message to insert a tape but there is already a tape in there.
    What am i doing wrong?.
I've follwed the instuctions in the help tutorial but seem to be having this problem when trying to batch capture.
I can capture clips one at a time ok.
    Any ideas.

you're doing nothing wrong. the program just assumes that you have logged all these clips from a heap of tapes, and now wants you to put that tape back in.

also, dont' forget to select all the clips that you want to capture, otherwise it will just capture the one highlighted.

Thats the thing. The tapes already in there. When i click ok premiere just sits there doing nothing and locks up (not responding).

I tried opening the tape mechanisim and simulating putting a tape in but it still does nothing. In task manager it says not resonding.

Could it be that i havent named the tape?. I just left it at "untitled tape 01".

    btw, Thanks for your help.

Ok, i may have found the answer to my problem. Not sure but it's a high possibility.

I think the problem is that i have inadvertently stuffed up the time code by taping over some of the taped footage and because the timecode has got messed up premiere is getting confused when trying to batch capture.

    Would that cause problems?

I've blanked the tape from the beginning and are going to capture some video footage again all in one go and try to batch capture again. This may take a few days though.

I'm still open for any advice for my problem
