    transparency layer help :(

    Right, Im trying to do a banner for this source movie I am making. I go to make part of it transparent, and even when I save it as a gif and have a transparent layer, it still fills it in with a white background!

    here is how it is in photoshop

    Okay, so you're trying to do this in Video Studio 8. Unfortunately it's been a long time since I've used that program and I can't remember anything about how it handles transparency. We need to figure it out though.

    Firstly, you don't want to use GIF - that format is too limited for video work and the results won't be nice. Instead you should go for a format which Video Studio can handle as a transparent file.

    I would assume that Video Studio can import Photoshop files - can you confirm this? If so, import a file and look for transparency or alpha channel options. Alternatively, can you look in the help file for topics such as:
    import psd
    import photoshop
    transparency
    alpha channel

    Ulead video studio does not transprancey in second time line.The first time line only transpaernts. so you put in video media pro 7 or 8. second time line is only working for ulead video studio 9 or 10. so used it.
