    Embed workaround

    I am streaming a couple of Real videos on a website through a helix server. I'd like to not use <embed> and still stream the media with a player embeded. I have been able to embed players with javascript for other video, but I wonder if there a way to do the same with streaming video?
    Thanks

    Hmm, I'd be interested to know how you can embed it without using the embed tag. I'm not aware of any way to do this.

    EDIT: I did find this article which discusses embedding WinMedia & Quicktime without the embed tag. It might be applicable to Real Media, I don't know.

    Thanks for getting back to me.
    Here are a bunch of Articles and , the UFO is in the comments area: http://www.webstandards.org/2006/08/...object-markup/. However, this JavaScript will work in every browser:
    Code:
    "text/javascript">
    AC_AX_RunContent( 'id','rvocx','classid','clsid:CFCDAA03-8BE4-11cf-B84B-0020AFBBCCFA','width','600','height','106','src','rtsp://stream.websitesource.net:8080/shiva/kloco/Marquee3.rv','loop','true','type','audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin','controls','imagewindow','console','video','autostart','true' ); //end AC code
    </script>
    but it wont autostart and loop in IE it will only stream in a separate window. I need the stream to work from inside the page.
    Thanks
