Can Videotape Copying Be Done at a Faster Speed

I have never made copies of my homemade videos before so I was wondering if there is a way to set both VCRs on a faster speed so that copying a videotape can be done faster or does the copying have to be done at normal speed.

I know that copying at a faster speed can be done on my audio cassette tape which is why I am asking.

Also, is there a way to copy the tape without having to watch or listen to it during the copying period.

You need specialized equipment to do high-speed dubbing. Commercial places can do it but you won't be able to do it on your normal home vcr.

As for not watching and listening while you dub, just turn your tv off once you've started recording. The vcrs will keep going.
