    Help with streaming video

Hello, how can I stream a video from a website such a youtube on my own site? All I know so far is I may embed it via HTML using the video's url, but I don't know exactly how to approach this. All help is appreciated!

The site should give you the code you need. For example, at YouTube, you can see two options to the right of the video: "URL" and "Embed". Copy and paste the "Embed" code into the HTML of your web page. That's it!

If you don't know how to get into your HTML code, that's another question. It will depend on how you make your website, what software you use, etc.

Yes thank you. But what I'm trying to find out is how can I stream it with the URL of the video only, not the actual embedded part. Per say, I want to stream a video, I can simply copy and paste this:

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value=""></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

But now, I sometimes want to stream videos from websites that doesn't have the "EMBED" option, but the URL of the video is there, just like youtube, how can I stream that? ( ).

I know I can just replace the watch?v=..... part with /v/..... but how can I do this with videos from other sites when it isn't so obvious (if possible?)

    Thank you.
