    Change print settings using Javascript

    Hi Everyone,

Can someone tell me how to change the print setting of the page before print using javascript without the print dialog box.

Its like "Can we access the print setting programatically". As I am facing a problem where there are multiple page to print and some pages are printed on lanscape and others on portrait.

Can I set the print setting for different pages using javascript?

Thnks in advance. Its VERY urgent!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Change print settings using Javascri

I don't think there's any reliable way to do this with JavaScript. The print function is designed to open the print window - nothing more.

You could try the following page for some Microsoft-specific information about printing pages. Of course this stuff is limited to Internet Explorer:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...dhtmlprint.asp

Another option might be to create separate print-friendly versions, perhaps PDF files.

    Hi Rajesh,

If you tried to post a script it would have been automatically stripped from your message (for security reasons). Try posting the script without the script tags.

[EDIT, April 2005] To everyone who reads this thread: Please do not waste your time asking for this script. It's been 8 months now and Rajesh has not returned to the forum and has not shared the script with anyone.
