How to Make a Search Form With Multiple Search Opt

"some search engines place the search terms in the middle of the query string"

It would be great if you could add that feature to your sample

Re: How to Make a Search Form With Multiple Search

Unfortunately different search engines use different conventions. It wouldn't be practical to try and include them all. If there's a particular search engine you want to use that does this we could have a look and see if we can make it work.

search form with multiple search options

Hi, any ideas on how I could get a database where the search results appear in the middle of the query string to work?

This is the one I am working on (search term=cancer)
    http://www.jstor.org/search/BasicSea...h=Search&wc=on

    I tried:
    http://www.jstor.org/search/BasicSearch?Query="+ searchString +"&si=1&hp=25&Search=Search&wc=on

but that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

The URL you gave doesn't work, it just shows a page saying "JSTOR is an online journal archive made available to researchers through participating libraries and institutions."

You can't do anything until you start with a URL that shows search results.
