    help needed for streaming

    I have a video files in .VOB,.AVI,.MPG formats. I would like to stream these video files using Multiple Bit-rates. I am using Windows media Encoder 9 series with a multi bit rate of 1128 kbps , 764 Kbps,564 Kbps. But while streaming i can make out frame drops and artifacts in the video clip at the client side.i have also made a settings of performance to 20,40,80 and used registry key setting. I could not found any improvement. Plz can any one help me.

    Either use a higher bitrate or a smaller video size to reduce the appearance of artifacts. Also, if you can, while producing the video think of the final output and how the compression works. Avoid large, fast motions.

    Also, you may want to think about trying different compressors such as MPEG-4 part 2 (DIVX/Xvid/etc) or MPEG-4 part 10 (AVC/h264).
