    Websites with password protected pages

I have developed a website using Dreamweaver MX2004 - and want to add a couple of pages of information that only people who have put in the appropriate password can have access to. I have created a page with a "Password" field in it - what do I do to make the page:
    - go to the new page if the correct password is entered
    or
    - go to a 'incorrect password - try again' page if an incorrect password is entered.

There are a few different ways to do this. If you want to use an on-page form like the one you have described, you'll need a server-side script to parse the form and redirect depending on the result. Do a search for "password protection script" to find some examples.

If you're using an Apache server you could use the htaccess file instead. Search for "password protect web page htaccess".
