    Medium Format

    Just was wondering....what would a negative from a medium format camera translate to in megapixels if it were a digital camera?

    You know... this is the question that every film vs digital person asks on almost any photography forum.

    I think it's best to leave film to film and digital to digital.. as firstly they're completely different medium (although same purpose) and secondly they woo different crowds of fans. It's the same as brand wars.

    If we go by digital backs for the medium formats, the highest one as of last yr was a 39 megapix...

    Sure thing.

    Trust what I've said was helpful as not many people share this view I propose when it comes to film vs digital.

    One advantage digital certainly has over film is that you can shoot as many shots as you want, with the luxury of deleting what you don't want, as long as your battery and memory card allows. But I hope we don't translate the same into life...
