    Handling old 8mm film...

I read up on this on a few websites, but I'm just not that confident handling film as old as it is (Especially when It could go as far back as the 1960s does!) So how much does it cost to get someone else to put it on video for you - and who would you go to, to get it done?

    Thank You.

To tell you the truth...It is a hard to find any one who can even do that anymore. I sold my machine about 2 years ago because of the lack of use. Cost will be directly related to howmany people you find that can do it around. I have a company out of St Louis MO. do mine if i ever need it....which i have once in 2 years

Same here - I used to do 8mm conversions but that market dried up years ago.

If you do find someone, make sure they know what they are doing. Some companies are less careful than you would be. Personally I would try and hire a projector and do it myself first, then send it to the conversion company. At least then you'd have something if they lost or wrecked it.
