    connecting mic to a car CD player with aux in

    Hi all, i tried connecting a mic to my car CD player with the AUX in but the CD player would not receive any signal.... wht could be the problem if any one knows?

    if ur talking about the aux 1/8 plug they have for mp3 players, those dont have mic pre-amps so u wont be able to hear anything, they are made for alrdy pre-amped sound, so u can either put a mixer infront of their that works pretty dandy or u can try putting a mic-pre infront

    Mic level and line level are very different. most devices that are designed to be used with both will have a switch for each and it is usually a matter of the gain on the input.

    o ya, forgot to say that.
    make sure it has changable impedence outputs to match ur car stereo...

    :/
