    Panasonic audio noise

    Hope you can help!

In the office we have a Panasonic PV-L454 c-camcorder. The audio has become very scratchy in sound when played back. Is there an easy fix to this or something I should be checking for?

    external mics and external preamps

are you using built in mics and pres?

They only use the internal mic for recording as for anything else, I have no clue. I thought about an external mic but I see no port for that option.

You are not going to like this answer, but consumer mini cams and palm cams. are not made all that well and once they start acting up it is time to trash it. Unfortunately it would probably cost more to replace what ever needs to be replaces then the camera is worth

Well, anything costs more than nothing

That being said, is the audio bad when played back in the camera? Is the audio bad when played back in a VHS deck with an adapter? Is something that you recorded previously that plays back well in a VHS deck playing back well in the camera?
