    Shutter speed

Hi have been using my video camera (3 chip sony) in low light conditions and am a bit disapointed with the results. What affect will reducing the shutter speed have on the final image. The image appears brighter but what is the downside?

BTW great forum , but needs more people.

When working in low light you wouldn't normally want to use any shutter at all. Unless you have a specific reason to have some shutter there shouldn't be any downside.

Thanks for the comment about the forum. Yeah, we could do with a few more people posting, especially those knowledgeable ones who can provide answers. There's plenty of people coming here but a lot of them leave if they don't see enough activity.
