    Live DVD authoring/Character Generation

For my church, we currently are looking at having DVDs of services ready at the end of every service. I want to have a professional looking package (labelling on the DVDs themselves), but I also want to have titling & wipes done as well (such as "supering" the name of a speaker or a music group). What type of equipment would allow for titling during live recording, and what type of equipment would you suggest for taking two cameras (Panasonics AG-DVC30s are what we use) and any other video source (like an A-roll of, say, naure scenes) to make this all happen? We do have a tight budget, but we have to make it happen.

    I am all ears! Thanks!

How tight is your budget? For very cheap, NewTek offers a church-specialized version of their tricaster system [all-in-one live production computer] and you can record with a stack of standalone dvd recorders (with preprinted labels on the discs with a blank for you to sharpie in the date)

Are you currently doing any DVD or video production at all?
Are you doing CDs or any Audio production?

It all makes a big difference if you already have something or if you are starting from scratch.
This is a very good place for info on setting up media production in churches
