    Over and Under Method

How important is it to wind up cables using the Over and Under Method? What's the difference between that and just winding normally?

For those who don't know what this means, it's the method of winding up cables where you alternate the loops under and over each other. It's not easy to explain really

Anyway there are two main reasons to do this:

    (1) It's better for the cables. They don't get as twisted and they last longer.

    (2) As long as you wind and unwind the cables properly, it's a lot easier. Cables don't get tangled up.

This method is also known as back-winding.
