    Low Light Pd 150 x Pd170

I have this friend that keeps me saying that the sony pd150/vx2000/vx2100 has better low light than sony pd170.

    He has a pd150 and a pd170.

This is going direct in the opposite way from what I heard and read on web since the pd170 has the same CCD and 1 lux exactly as vx2100.

Please I would like to read some comments about it.

Hello: I'm a PD-150 user and I never heard that. Sony specs say the PD-150 records to 2 lux, and the PD-170 records to 1_lux. I don't know if I would trust either to record in that little light.

    Pd-150

I own the Pd-150. The lowlight performance is quite good. You do tend to lose some color saturation when you crank up the gain. From all accounts, I've heard that the PD-170 performs even better.

I am also a 150 user and agree with what was said about about the 170---- I am happy with the 150 no need to get the new one--

anyone know how long the 150 lives?
