Thread: antialiazing

  1. #1

When I removed the background from my images in photoshop it antialiazed them automatically. Now when i put the images on my web page on a dark background it shows a white halo. How can I easily remove the halo from the GIF images? In general what are the main things to remember when putting transparent images on the web?

When you convert to (or save as) a GIF file, you'll get a window like the one below. In the Matte drop-menu, choose "Custom" and select the same colour as your web page background. This will antialias the image to that colour instead of white.
