    audio mixer

    Hi folks,

If you use the audio mixer how do you select an individual track and not effect the entire piece?

If you have an interview on one track and background sound on another track is there a way just to choose just one track or is using the audio mixer the proper way?

Thanks for whomever has the time to help!

You can either mute the channel that contains the track you don't want or open the fader on the channel you do want. I don't know whether you use a hardware or software mixer, but generally the principle is the same.
    Hope this helps.

    Best,

What you describe is a common function of audio mixers but it would certainly help to know exactly what mixer you're using. Does it have "solo" buttons for each channel?
