We are trying to develope the media player for Windows XP, 2K and 98. The video file will be received as a chunk of buffers in the RAM and from there we ahev to play. Essentially we are receiveing video data (file) in buffer chunks from a proprietary decoder and we also have a requirement to play the file from RAM without storing it onto the hard disc. Although, the encrypted file will be stored on the hard disk. The decrypter uses this file and send the decrypted data partially in buffers to our player.

For the normal playback of the video files stored on the hard disk, we have used DirectShow from Microsoft. Can we use the same DirectShow to achieve the above mentioned requirements? or do we need to get some other third party tool? Please suggest.

Thanks and Regards,
