    Constant Audio Echo

My laptop has a constant echo on all sound from my computer. I have no idea how it happened as I gave it to a friend yesterday and they don't know what they've done. I use Windows XP with Realtek HD Audio Manager. Some songs are also quieter than others suddenly. I listen to music and watch videos a lot so any advice would help.

    Hi Rob

Go to your control panel on XP and run the RealTek HD icon.

The first tab has various environment settings including echo effects like "bathroom" and "sewer pipe" ...turn them off and you should be back to normal. Your friend has probably played with the equalizer too!!!

To get a pretty normal sound with nice bass and highs, set the sliders in a rough shape of a smiley face

still hasn't worked echo is still strong, and i've noticed that some of the music is alright it seems to be vocals and speech that are the big problem(can't hear them). Anyone able to help rid me of this echo and get some sound for voices?
