    Hello wuslah -
Buy the best that YOU can afford if you already made your comparison - you won't regret it.

Budget is hugely important here so you know what you can afford.

Canon's EOS 5D Mark 2 seems to be the industry standard but at the price they want for it it's WAY out of my pocket!!!

With the firmware update it can also shoot full resolution HD video too!!!

I understand about not having money.

Maybe you can share the money burden and the camera with a good friend who shares the same passion as you. If your famo and their famo each put 1/2 then it's not too much.

Just an update Chris, 1D MkIII has been released.

We have to be realistic, so budget must be considered.

wuslah, share if you can, but due to the nature of the equipment (in some sense they are fragile), not everyone likes to share them. However there's no harm to try. I share one of my setups with a friend and I just took the camera for a holiday in Cambodia!

btw a warm welcome to you because you are my 'neighbor' on the equator! Which part of Malaysia are you from?

Canon have also released the 7D now but most popular still seems to be the 5D Mark 2 which represents about the best value for money.

As I shoot video mainly at weddings I would say that 90% are using Canon 5D II and the rest use the upmarket Nikon.

Newest is not necessarily the best

Hi, aside from budget, you have to consider how are you going to use the camera. I mean, what do you need it for. The latest release (which is the most expensive in the line) is not necessarily the best for you.

If its a cam from famo, I suggest you choose the one that matches their budget. Don't push too far.
