    Flute Microphones

When considering amplification of a flute, I want a cardioid mic which attaches to either a headset, or the flute itself, I want a full rich tone in the low register without the shrill high register. Really I want the right kind of impedance. Does anyone have any thoughts? Help!

Impedance has nothing to do with sound. The right impedance is whatever the mixer or amp you're feeding it into expects to see. It's an interface issue. Can't tell you what the correct impedance is because I don't know what you're connecting it to.

This is an esoteric application and you haven't got a lot of choices. Get something basically good like the Audix and just assume you're going to use equalization to shape the sound.
