    Video editing software

    Nice day to everybody,

    3 questions:

    1. Does final cut pro exist for PCs or only for MACs ?
    2. What are other pro editing softwares except Adobe premiere ?
    3. Does there exist a pack of hw card and sw with real-time effects for reasonable price ?

    Hi Libor,
    nice day to you, too
    1. As far as I know final cut is a MAC only product.
    2. There are quite a few actually, Sony Vegas is the hot item right now, but there is also AVIDs Liquid Edition (which used to be Pinnacle until a couple of years ago). Then there is Media100, and prolly a few more I havent heard of.
    3. the only system that I know of that packs hw card and sw is pinnacle/avid Liquid Edition. There may be others I just havent heard of them. Liquid usually runs upwards of $600 US; for a pro package I guess thats reasonable.

Final Cut is definitely Mac-only. I think fredgoodlukng has summed up the main options well

Presentavid is a known source of forum spam. Do not support this product!

    Video editing software

Edius by Canopus is a very handy software in a pro level and more simply than Adobe's Premiere.Although Premiere has more capabilities,Edius is a very good choice.

    video edit

I went with the adobe CS2 production studio prem because it ran on the PC which was easily ubgraded to 3 gig ram and a single 250 gig HD.

The Main reason though was that support is everywhere, from training videos by third parties to eseminars. I needed the support.

If I went wrong, I would like to hear the pro's and con's of other programs as campared to...
