    Radio Search Engine Help

    Would it be easy to make the search engine on http://www.mediacollege.com/internet...ti-search.html use radio buttons instead, if so how would it be done?

    Should be easy enough. Replace this:
    Code:
    <select name="sengines">
    <option value="http://www.google.com/search?q=" selected>Google</option>
    <option value="http://www.altavista.com/web/results?q=">Alta Vista</option>
    <option value="http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/search/web/">Dogpile</option>
    <option value="http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=">Yahoo!</option>
    </select>
    With this:
    Code:
    <input name="sengines" type="radio" value="http://www.google.com/search?q="> Google<br>
    <input name="sengines" type="radio" value="http://www.altavista.com/web/results?q="> Alta Vista<br>
    <input name="sengines" type="radio" value="http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/search/web/"> Dogpile<br>
    <input name="sengines" type="radio" value="http://search.yahoo.com/search?p="> Yahoo!
    I haven't tested it but it should work. Let me know if you have any problems.

    The Radio buttons don't seem to work. I saw that it put the search terms at the end of my URL and not at the end of the SE's.
    I made a test file at http://multiz.com/search2.htm
    Without the radio buttons, it works at http://multiz.com/search.htm

    Sorry about the delayed reply. Yes, you're right, this won't work unless we tell the function to recognize the radio buttons as well. Are you still working on this? How are you getting on? If you still need help I'll give it a try but radio buttons are a bit of a pain - there is no simple way to determine the value like there is with drop-menus.
