    Unable to validate the code for embedded video

    Hi Folks,

    I am just starting with video streaming and embedding from websites. I keep finding the same bit of code to embed the video:

    <OBJECT ID="MediaPlayer" WIDTH="192" HEIGHT="190" CLASSID="CLSID:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95"
    STANDBY="Loading Windows Media Player components..." TYPE="application/x-oleobject">
    <PARAM NAME="FileName" VALUE="videofilename.wmv">
    <PARAM name="autostart" VALUE="false">
    <PARAM name="ShowControls" VALUE="true">
    <param name="ShowStatusBar" value="false">
    <PARAM name="ShowDisplay" VALUE="false">
    <EMBED TYPE="application/x-mplayer2" SRC="videofilename.wmv" NAME="MediaPlayer"
    WIDTH="192" HEIGHT="190" ShowControls="1" ShowStatusBar="0" ShowDisplay="0" autostart="0"> </EMBED>
    However, this code will not pass W3C Validation. The first thing is the use of all capital letters, PARAM, is not passable. Then it tells me there is no attribute "type" "src" "name" and so on, which are included in the "embed type" line.

    Is there a code which does pass W3C validation?

    Try changing to PARAM NAME="src" VALUE="videofilename.wmv">
