Setting the FLV Mime Type

For some applications you may need to set the mime type for FLV files on your server. Ordinarily the server administrator will do this but there is also an easy way to do it using the htaccess file in your website. Please note that this method works on Linux servers — I cannot vouch for Windows servers.

Simply add the following line to the htaccess file:

AddType video/x-flv .flv
