Art Director

In film production, the art director is the person responsible for planning and overseeing the construction of sets.

Traditionally the art director is in charge of the art department which includes artists, designers and construction staff. However in recent times the definition has expanded to include more than one person per production, leading to the creation of another more specific title, production designer, which refers to the head of the art department.
