Grayscale Chart
Grayscale charts are used for two applications:
- Fine-tuning colour balance in cameras. This is basically a more precise version of a white balance.
- Calibrating video and computer monitors.
Whatever the application, the goal is to see a range of neutral grays from pure black to pure white. There should be no colour tint in any of the bars.
The grayscale chart below displays 33 increments of gray.You should be able to see all the shades except maybe a few of the deeper blacks.
