Adobe ImageReady is a graphics application which used to come bundled with Adobe Photoshop. The two programs worked closely together, allowing users to jump between them while editing the same image. This was an acceptable situation but many new users did find it confusing. Many experienced users found it unnecessarily cumbersome.
ImageReady was officially discontinued in 2007 with the release of the Creative Suite 3 lineup. Most of the core features of ImageReady were incorporated into Photoshop, with some features instead being added to Fireworks.
