Flash Video Tips

Remember that the quality of your Flash video will largely be determined by the quality of the original source footage. Learn how to shoot video properly and use a tripod whenever you can (you'll be amazed at how much better your video is encoded if it's shot on a tripod).

Try to keep movement in the video frame to a minimum. Avoid flashy transitions.

Experiment with different encoders and settings. Look for free trial downloads, then use a test clip to compare their performance.

Use 2-pass encoding wherever possible. It takes longer to encode but in most cases it results in better quality video.
